There are a few people who can confidently say that they love writing essays, as this type of paper may be quite tricky, especially when you don't really understand what to write about and how to do it correctly. That's why there is a high chance of failing if you are assertive enough that you'll manage to do it in one hour. So, take your time, postpone your activities, and prepare to work hard!

are you working hard

In case you don't really know where to begin, please, I beg you, use my personal recommendations and you'll get through this. So, before sitting down to start with the first sentence, I would advise you to do the preparatory work.

First, try to paraphrase the main question/ idea of the essay to realize whether you completely comprehend the topic of the paper. If you cannot understand what it should be about, you need to contact your professor or group mates for some assistance. Don't try to write about something you don't know, as it will be obvious from the very beginning. In this case, go to the library, bring your best friend, and search for something simple but extensive on the matter. Remember, no man is born wise or learned.

If you are lucky enough to understand your subject, ask yourself what is your position on the matter. Are you going to be positive, negative, or neutral in regards to the subject of the paper? Do you have any arguments to prove your point of view? If you are determined that you know what to say, you are already halfway through your paper, congratulations!

essay should be like

However, the preparatory work is not over yet. You need to ask yourself another important question. Do you have a list of required literature or you need to compose it yourself? Try to think about the references as good friends that support your opinion and can prove you right. Besides, don't underestimate in-text citations, they show you did a great job.

references

Your text should consist of three main parts: introduction, body, and conclusion. If you try to build your narration in correspondence with the question these parts should respond to, it'll be a success, I promise!

In fact, make a plan, so each paragraph contains some crucial thought. Try to nurture critical thinking, not only affirm your position but also present some opposite opinions. It is always better to take into consideration all points of view. This way your text will get volume.

have no plan

A lot of my friends have fear of the blank slate; I used to have it too. But don't you worry; just start writing at least something according to your plan. It's not necessarily should be complete sentences, you can write down some hints of ideas and go back to them later. Create the core of your paper, you'll add the details afterwards, there's no need to rush.

according to plan

After you've finished with the main ideas and thoughts, forget about your paper for a couple of hours. It'll help you 'fight' this challenge with a clear mind. I guarantee you'll find something new to add to complete your essay.

Having completed the writing part, it's just about time for you to become an editor! Re-read your assignment, check if all the key points were followed, correct the formatting if needed, don't forget to use the spell checker. Moreover, you need to evaluate your text, is it logical enough, do you stick to your point, have you framed your thoughts accordingly? If you respond affirmatively to all these questions, my felicitations, you're done! Nice job!

It wasn't that hard in the end, was it?

great success

Typically, it is rather complicated to study, and the years being a student are usually quite stressful. To begin with, you're not only having constant assignments and tests, you regularly come across misunderstanding and judgment from both professors and your group mates, not to mention the pressure from the parents and relatives. Still, I am afraid to say, the life after the university will be even harder, so be prepared. Here are 3 things that you should always keep in mind in order not to waste your time for nothing.

don`t waste your time

You've chosen a wrong field and don't feel that it is your cup of tea.

In life, it is always better to know your destination, so it's easy to follow your path. However, only the luckiest got the opportunity to know it deep inside, all the 'muggles' are in a constant search for self. And I can assure you, there is nothing worse than understanding that you've spent several years of your life learning something that you're not passionate about. If the matter you're studying is not interesting and you don't find it amusing, most likely you've chosen wrong. It may be hard to admit but even harder to accept. When you're genuinely interested, it is such a joy to learn the subject, and all the studying routine doesn't seem boring at all. Always keep in mind that it's never too late to follow your dream even if you are scared to tell your parents about your life choice, and even more when they disagree.

not my cup of tea

Plus, you can always have a private conversation with your mentor, he is your friend after all and can suggest the right direction.

I am your mentor

You are lazy and don't have sufficient knowledge in the selected area after graduating.

Those who spent couple of years sitting behind a desk doing nothing, raise your hand! Yes, I am talking to you. Time is the most precious thing a person has, use it wisely. If you don't make an effort learning all these things you came for, why even being here? It is a very restraining thought to suppose you should only learn because you were told to. Actually, educated and well-rounded person is always a good company and a professional employee. Don't get me wrong, you should try to be polite and attentive to everyone; however, it's a real pleasure to talk to a man who can make conversation.

welcome to college

What is more, the real question being whether you value your own time, as you won't ever be as young and free as you are today. So, if you truly decide to follow some career path, do yourself a favor and work bloody hard.

You are too afraid of competition that you're not even trying.

I can honestly say that I'm a master of giving up and comparing myself to others. You most likely have people who are already too rich/ know what they're doing in life/ succeed in everything they start/ just too lucky and get what they want not making an effort (underline the correct variant). We all have them and hate them, which is completely wrong. So stop being afraid you'll definitely lose, life is not a competition as long as you're bothered with your own problems. What if there's a chance you'll have everything you want? That's exactly the reason why you should spend these years studying and trying to become the best version of yourself. Always better than yesterday, right?

uni hour

The years being a student are always accompanied by crazy parties, weekly hangovers, and a lot of drama. But if you at least try to remember and consider these three things mentioned above, there is definitely a smaller chance you regret the time spent in college.
